Peach Crumble With Streusel Topping

Ingredients:

Filling-

5-7 peaches

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Streusel Topping-

1 1/4 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 stick of butter, melted

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a baking dish or pie tin.

  2. To prepare the peaches: fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil. Cut an X at the bottom of each peach then place in the pot of water. Let sit for 30 seconds then transfer to ice water. The peach skin should now easily peel off. Cut the peaches into wedges.

  3. Add the peaches to a large saucepan on medium heat with cornstarch, vanilla, and cinnamon. Stir occasionally until the mixture is thick and at a desired consistency, about 10 minutes.

  4. Add flour, sugars, cinnamon, salt, and butter to a medium bowl and combine until no dry flour remains.

  5. Pour the peaches into the baking dish and top evenly with flour mixture. Bake for 35-45 minutes until topping is golden and filling appears to be bubbling slightly.
