World's best Cinnamon Rolls

It’s Sweet, It’s Fluffy, It’s Delicious

I like to bake these cinnamon rolls on special occasions or just when I’m bored. They always come out so delicious and addicting. I can never seem to keep my family away from them! They are super gooey in the middle and nice and crispy on the outside, I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Makes 8 rolls

Dough:

2 1/4 cups AP flour

3 tablespoons sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons yeast

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup room temperature water

4 tablespoon softened, unsalted butter

1 egg

Vegetable oil spray

Filling:

3/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)

1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon salt

8 tablespoons softened unsalted butter

Glaze:

1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 teaspoons milk

  1. Dough: In bowl of stand mixer, whisk flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.

  2. Lock bowl into place and attach dough hook. Add water, butter, and egg to flour mixture. If mixture seems too dry, add an extra tablespoon of water. Start mixer on low speed and mix until no dry flour remains. Increase speed to medium and knead dough for about 5 minutes.

  3. Sprinkle flour on clean countertop and knead dough for 30 seconds. Form dough into a smooth ball.

  4. With vegetable oil spray, spray inside of large bowl and place in the dough. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let rise for one to two hours (let rise for longer if you want extra large fluffy rolls) or place in fridge overnight. Put bowl in a warm, humid environment for best results or place in oven on Proof setting.

  5. While dough rises, spray bottom and sides of 9 inch round metal cake pan and line with parchment paper.

  6. Filling: In small bowl stir together brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

  7. When dough is ready, shape with a rolling pin into a rectangle on a clean, floured counter. Spread butter evenly across dough and pour on the filling, using your hands to spread it across evenly.

  8. Roll dough into a long spiral tube and carefully stretch it out to make it longer, divide it evenly into eighths and place facing up in the pan. (Look at the picture at the top of the page for how to place it in the pan)

  9. Proof in oven for 1 hour.

  10. Bake at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes, until golden brown.

  11. Glaze: In a small bowl stir sugar and milk until thick enough to drizzle. If it isn’t thick enough, add more sugar.

  12. Drizzle glaze over cinnamon rolls and enjoy!
